A library for the whole edit.
Choose how a video feels and how it explains. Every style stays within Will’s visual world.
Choose a style
House style is the starting point for research breakdowns and everyday teaching. Proof-led walkthrough suits a practical process with a clear result, a sequence of actions and evidence at the end.
Each entry covers five connected decisions: structure and pacing, colour and footage, captions, graphics and evidence, and sound and transitions. Treat them as one editing recipe.
Apply it to your material
Open a style and copy its editing brief into a new or existing editing chat. Add the script, original camera footage, transcript and real screenshots or recordings needed to support the claims.
Start with an edit plan tied to the source timecodes. Choose caption breaks, evidence inserts and a grade that fits the camera original. The recipe is guidance, not a one-click video editor or an automatic colour preset.
For abstract narrated diagrams, the current explainer-slideshow skill remains authoritative. It uses the approved 800 × 800 drawn visual system, its supplied template and verification scripts.
Use the style as a skill
The .skill and .zip downloads contain the same files: SKILL.md, the complete editing recipe, source observations, brand rules and an example brief. They contain no third-party creator footage, music or fonts.
For Codex, extract the folder into ~/.agents/skills/. For Claude Code, use ~/.claude/skills/. Start a new chat and ask to use “Will Francis House style” or “Will Francis Proof-led walkthrough”. You can also attach the Markdown recipe directly to your preferred editing tool.
The local brand folder is the source of truth. Obtain Sentient from its official Fontshare distribution when working on another machine; use a licensed installation of Avenir Next for subtitles.
Grow the collection
Save a link and what you like about it on the reference page, or give the link directly to your editing chat. Ask for a scene-by-scene study and a Will Francis adaptation.
New entries should explain what was observed, what was borrowed and what changed. They should include a usable specimen, the full editing recipe and source attribution. Saving a link does not automatically analyse it or publish a new style.
Add a referenceAbout the examples
The house-style player shows Will’s published AI-writing video with its original captions and grade. The proof-led player is an illustrative composition study built with Will’s footage. Its sample prompt and results demonstrate layout, not a completed or measured workflow.
Public Instagram counts provide context for choosing the house references. They are a dated snapshot of the returned sample, not private analytics or evidence that editing alone caused performance.
